Armal continues its energy efficiency Journey

Armal continues its efficiency journey with 100% renewable electricity procurement through Guarantees of Origin and ongoing production upgrades.

At Armal, continuous improvement also means making our manufacturing processes more efficient through measurable actions and long-term investments.

Starting from 2025, 100% of the electricity procured by Armal S.p.A. comes from renewable sources. To cover its annual electricity consumption, the company purchased 1,545 Guarantees of Origin (GOs) associated with electricity generated by Greek photovoltaic plants.

The Guarantees of Origin have been registered within the Italian Energy Certificate System, managed by GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici).

These certificates provide documented evidence of the renewable origin of the electricity procured by the company. At the same time, Armal continues the production efficiency programme launched in 2022, focused on the gradual modernization of its moulding presses.

The project involves replacing traditional hydraulic systems with digital brushless drive technology, designed to improve process efficiency and machine performance.

As a result of the upgrades implemented to date, the presses included in the modernization programme achieved approximately 60% lower energy consumption in 2025 compared with 2022.

These initiatives are part of Armal's ongoing commitment to continuously improve the efficiency of its operations through practical, measurable actions while maintaining the high quality standards expected by customers worldwide.
